What I do:
Teach you in your home to use your computer in your own way. I also provide free e-mail support and follow-up.

Remote support! If you are far away this summer and need help I can connect with you on Yahoo chat and then log into your computer if necessary to see what you're doing!

What it costs: I charge $50 to $65 per hour for home visits ..less for classroom and more for business training.
You keep a list of questions, problems and tasks.  We cover that together plus offer suggestions for more enjoyment of your system.  These rates can be shared by more than one.

Other services:
Shop or help shop new equipment, consult & handle upgrades, provide services i.e. I sometimes do the tasks so you don't have to.

  • Favorite  Computer Shopping Links - Buy.com was originally introduced as a site that would sell below cost (competing even with Amazon.com on book sales) and make it's profits from advertisers. I still shop them occasionally but the internet is a VERY competitive place.

  • No more clippings! - Don't cut, scan and mail them!  Browse to the article and send the link!

  • Games - I found some neat versions of Solitaire and Mahoong online.  Click Games for the links.

  • Daily Links - I keep a few web addresses on the task bar of my browser that I go to daily.

  • Information & Tutorials - These are sites I will link to from various places in this web site.  The idea is to keep from re-inventing the wheel.

  • Book Lovers - Links for searching within books, for books to buy and samples to read.

  • Friends & Family - More and more people I know have their own pages.  Here's my collection of personal links.

  • Search Engines - If you know me you know my favorite search engine and if I've worked with you, it's already in your favorites. Yes .. it's Dogpile which searches multiple engines.

  • My original idea of my website would be to simply report my travels each day on the web .. the surf report was supposed to be the front page .. the site!  I do surf each day.  But I've been making a separate page and article of each topic and I've tried to categorize these with the menu on the left.  Meanwhile I'm a surfing fool, gathering links in favorites folders on many different computers.  That HAS to be organized and centralized ..right here.  Why not?  With a headline on the front page if not a short list of new things.  The problem is of course that I gather information for such vaying audiences .. and my main audience here is my clientele ..people I help with their computers.  Anyway I'll find a clever way to present this massive history of the web surf.  And here it will be!  Soon!
